We serve children (ages 5 and up), adolescents, and adults across the lifespan. We treat conditions including but not limited to Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, OCD, ExRP, Borderline Personality Disorder, Autism, Developmental Disorders. We also focus on the treatment of stress and anxiety in individuals coping with chronic medical illnesses.
Our cutting edge training clinic offers psychological services based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) models, to help you to learn skills to work on problem thoughts, feelings and behaviors. We take a collaborative approach to treatment to help you work toward measurable goals.
The Stony Brook Psychology Training Clinic, part of the nationally ranked Stony Brook University Clinical Psychology PhD program (source: U.S. News & World Report), is a fee-for-service clinic. Psychotherapy services are provided by master’s level (or higher) clinical psychology students and social work interns in-training, who are closely supervised to provide high quality, evidenced-based care. Individual and group sessions are available.
