Welcome! I am glad that you have taken the first step toward improving your well being! I look forward to helping you identify your issues and developing realistic therapy goals. We all struggle with problems life presents us, and I believe that I have the experience and training to offer effective help within my role. I am especially interested in helping you to define your goals in terms of changing your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors so that you are more effective and happier in life. I describe myself as client-centered and nonjudgmental.
I have been Licensed as a Psychologist for 40 years, and a Certified Addictions Counselor for about 35 years. I have worked in a variety of settings, treating primarily adults with problems including: depression, anxiety, relationship problems, work issues, addictions, adjustment issues, and mood disorders.
It is a brave decision to seek treatment as this process involves opening up to another human being that you have never met. There are issues you may want to discuss that are painful, and I give you credit for beginning this journey. I am especially interested in doing telephone therapy as this seems to help people overcome barriers to self-disclosure.
