Dr. Steven Macchione is a licensed clinical psychologist and founder of Macchione Psychological Services, PLLC. He specializes in treating adults and older adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, phase of life problems and relationship issues. He uses an eclectic approach that incorporates existential and person-centered perspectives with components of cognitive behavioral therapy. He is a warm and patient therapist who effects lasting change through the development of a trusting and nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship.
Dr. Macchione gained experience providing individual and group psychotherapy in university and community mental health clinics, as well as regional and state psychiatric hospitals. This broad experience has prepared him to help people at various stages in their problems.
Dr. Macchione earned a BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University. Then, following his passion for psychology, he earned a BA in Psychology from York University where he graduated magna cum laude. His MS and PsyD in Clinical Psychology were completed at Nova Southeastern University.
