My practice focuses on major transitions in the lives and careers of accomplished men and women. My clients seek better work-life balance, a greater sense of satisfaction from intimate relationships, and support in pursuing their own unrealized dreams. I approach these questions in a direct, interactive manner. Methods include coaching, interpersonal psychotherapy and family of origin models. I work with individuals, couples and families. I also work with business partners. I am deeply interested in working with people during times of transition when they are looking to create new options for themselves, in their relationships.
My approach helps people come to terms with their strengths and weaknesses, understand the contributions of the past, and imagine the future they would like to live. My clients develop greater flexibility in seeing what options are available to them, and develop new skills in managing both their own feelings and capacity to negotiate with important people.
I have a doctorate in clinical psychology from New York University. I have been in practice for 40+ years as a clinician, consultant, and coach. An initial visit will allow us to determine whether there is a good fit between my approach and the clients' needs. I conduct sessions in person or virtually via Zoom.
