You are stronger than you feel, wiser than you know, and more resourceful than you think. I help adults who feel challenged by life; who need some help overcoming the obstacles that stand between themselves and a happier, more meaningful life. I assist clients see where they came from, how they arrived to their current state of being, and to imagine a healthier, more satisfying existence. This includes identifying old coping strategies that no longer serve, growing more useful strategies, and tapping into undiscovered resources. I treat depression, anxiety, transition issues, as well as grief and loss.
I tailor my approach to each client's individual situation. I meet clients where they are at in the moment, while being aware of their past and their hoped for future. I draw upon psychodynamic, Jungian, and transpersonal modalities to accomplish this. I work in an authentic and user-friendly way.
As a long-term Aikido practitioner, I've learned to stay present and tune into and adjust to what comes next naturally. I bring this skill and knowledge, among many others, and a great deal of life experience my work as psychologist.
