Steve’s practice focus is working with men and couples. Addressed issues include mood disorders, unhealthy behaviors, histories of abuse and neglect, grief, trauma, and pornography. With over 45 years of experience, Steve has worked in a variety of positions in the mental health field with a primary focus on individual, family, and relationship concerns. The focus of work is to understand underlying motivations and to gain insight into how these needs drive our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, allowing movement toward healthy choices.
Steve is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker who graduated in the Advanced Standing Program from the School of Social Welfare at the University of Kansas with a Master of Social Work degree having completed Practicum experience working in a Sexual Offender Treatment Program. Steve has an undergraduate degree in Social Work from Wichita State.
