My name is Steven Frausto, LCSW and I have over 10 years of experience working with adults, parents, families, grandparents, teenagers, and children. I work to empower my clients to identify, process, and overcome problem areas in their lives. I utilize a psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapy approach to help identify current difficulties and their root cause. Using pragmatic approaches to overcome impairments and then working on the root cause of the presenting difficulties to avoid them resurfacing.
I like to create an open and calm environment in my sessions. I typically engage with my clients in a relaxing and professional manner. Furthermore, I strive to help clients feel comfortable to be able to share about their current struggles.
I work collaboratively with clients to identify the current areas they wish to address in treatment. Clients know the areas in their lives where they need support. My approach in goal setting is to focus on these areas, as well as highlight other avenues in which these goals can be achieved.
