My name is Steven East. I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Licensed Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor and a Certified Eye Movement Reprocessing Desensitization (EMDR) Therapist. I help clients struggling with Bi-Polar Disorder, Depression, Trauma, Anxiety, Addiction, Thought Disorders, Anger, Grief, Co-dependency, Family and Marital Discord, My approach is based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
My communication style is transparent. I provide consistent education on the therapy process to increase client engagement and create a safe place to explore aspects of life that can be shameful or embarrassing.
Since 2004 I have worked in both public and private sectors in the field of mental health. I became a Drug and Alcohol Counselor in 2007 and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2013.
