My primary area of expertise is in working with individuals with alcohol and substance use disorders, including treating the different co-occurring disorders that are often at the root of addiction.
I have extensive experience in detox, inpatient, and outpatient treatment facilities. Directly prior to starting my private practice, I worked for four years as a clinician at High Watch Recovery Center in Kent, CT, where my own journey in recovery began in May of 2009.
I use a synthesis of techniques, incorporating insights and strategies from a range of therapeutic modalities. This allows for a flexible approach, tailored to the unique needs of each individual, creating a process that is highly responsive to client input regarding what is most helpful, constructive, and productive.
My work is driven by a deep belief in every individual’s capacity for recovery at any stage in the life course. Each person brings unique strengths to this work and recognizing and leveraging those strengths is a priority for me as a clinician.
