About
Dr. Steve is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. He graduated from NYU with a Masters Degree in Social Work and received his Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania. Steven is a tenure track, associate professor of Social Work at Daemen college and has previously taught at NYU and Rutgers University. In his therapy practice he works to provide a safe space for people to explore and reconnect with their true nature and find peace within their suffering.
He has worked with folks on a variety of issues including but not limited to those who have been diagnosed with conditions like, depression anxiety, complex trauma, borderline personality disorder and substance use related issues.
He uses an evidenced based eclectic style of therapy based on the Relational Cultural Therapy. He believes that therapy is the act of making known the unknown and learning how to cope with the challenges of life. He enjoys the process of connecting with others and helping them to discover and become more and more of who they truly are.
