DIVORCE is devastating. As a skilled and trained Divorce Mediator, I specialize in assisting difficult and litigious couples through the entire process of their divorce. With 3 decades of experience, I mediate spousal and child support, investments, properties and pension funds, along with establishing a careful and appropriate parenting plan. My firm prepares all of the legal documentation. Mediation is one tenth the cost of Litigation. The stress, anger, physical exhaustion and emotional pain of the court system takes an enormous toll on ones life. Research shows that a litigious divorce in the courts creates significantly more trauma in children.
We often think that a couple needs to get along in order to mediate - not true. In a few of my divorce cases, the husband and wife had to mediate on separate days. I have also competed and mediated divorces where the couple had already been in the Court system.
When it comes to individual counseling, my specialty is working with MEN. Usually this involves anger, addictions, narcissism and depression. Men have difficulty talking about feeling inadequate. They have been taught to 'figure- it- out' themselves. As men, we struggle with trusting people. The result is often isolation and addictions.
