I view good emotional and psychological health as boiling down to one word: perspective. With good perspective, we feel better; when we "lose perspective," we feel less well. With good perspective, we discover that our vulnerability and insecurities don't make us (or others) "weak." We accept that feeling insecure, confused, lost, scared and uncertain makes us human, not deficient. We can learn to embrace our vulnerability without shame, while addressing what impedes us from pursuing meaningful connections and goals.
I work with couples, adults, families, and adolescents. I have a clinical sub-specialty in narcissistic and psychopathic/sociopathic personality. I've also published a 4.5-star rated book, "The Inner World of the Psychopath: A Comprehensive Primer on Psychopathic Personality," available on Amazon.
Although I practice traditional psychotherapy and enjoy doing couples therapy, I also offer life coaching. I want my clients to become terrific "self-coaches"--skilled at coaching themselves out of self-traps and into better, more constructive places.
