I am a practicing clinical professional of 46 years. I have a doctorate degree in clinical psychology from an APA accredited school and two state licenses. I was trained at a psychiatric teaching hospital and treated thousands of patients. I have extensive experience working with people with mood fluctuations, chronic anxiety, compulsive patterns, who have problems regulating impulses and behaviors as well as those who have problems forming, maintaining and deepening relationships. I also work well with patients who have terrible self-esteem issues, who constantly berate themselves and sabotage their progress and happiness.
I help couples in need of communication skills; I provide assistance to people who are on the autism spectrum (Asperger's Syndrome); and I provide supportive therapy to senior citizens who struggle with depression, anxiety, loss and loneliness. In addition I supervise clinicians seeking state licensure as well as supervision/therapy to seasoned clinicians.
To ensure the best therapeutic results, your therapist will need to have had sophisticated training and extensive clinical experience. I've been doing psychotherapy since 1977, I still enjoy reading clinical literature, and I still love the work and continue to value my patients.

Group supervision for master level clinicians seeking Florida license. This group will focus on the skills necessary to provide effective psychotherapy. There will be no more than 4 group members. Time frame will be 75 minutes. I will complete Florida state paper work for licensure as indicated. Initial consultation is free but required. I am a registered supervisor and authorized to supervise social workers, mental health counselors and marital and family therapists for state licensure.

Didactic/Experiential Group for MH Professionals

This group is dedicated to licensed mental health clinicians, in order to sharpen clinical skills and build a foundation and expertise in running a group. Confidentiality, is mandatory. The group will use Yalom's book on Group Psychotherapy (didactic) and we will discuss our own group process (experiential). If you are not already leading a group this is an effective way to become more proficient in both group and individual psychotherapy. There will be no more than 6 members. It will be a closed group. An initial individual interview is required. Please call 629-7132 to make an appointment.
