I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with 10 years of experience in my field. I have mostly worked with clients in Southern California, but my formal training started in Mexico City. I have worked with clients with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, internet addictions, and coming-of-age difficulties.
I like to have an organic conversation, use humor, and be direct when needed. My combined approaches are cognitive-behavioral, dialectic-behavioral, and solution-focused. I also use cognitive process approaches when dealing with trauma, while some training with EMDR.
Getting into therapy is the first step in trying to change the direction of your life. Figuring out a goal and purpose while working towards it helps the therapeutic process. I look forward to working with you.
