I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist practicing in San Diego. The main concerns I work with include anxiety, trauma/PTSD, and dissociation, as well as depression related to past trauma or neglect. I have been trained in EMDR, an effective treatment for trauma and grief, Internal Family Systems (IFS), a flexible approach which helps to resolve challenges from the past, ACT, which focuses on accepting thoughts and feelings rather than struggling with them, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which helps people to evaluate distressing thoughts and change their behavior so life is more rewarding.
I also work with LGBTQ+ individuals and family members, including Gender Identity (exploration, transition questions, support) Sexual Orientation (questioning, internalized homophobia, discrimination), and work with parents of LGBTQ+ children.
My strengths include a gentle, calm personality, an ability to walk with clients through past difficulties but still keep a sense of humor, and a world class ability to be nonjudgmental. I’m glad to offer a free 20 minute consultation to see if we might be a good fit.
