I believe that the therapeutic process begins with, and is dependent upon, the relationship between therapist and client. Therapy is most effective when a person feels safe, supported, and understood. This allows them the opportunity to be vulnerable and to delve into the various hardships they are experiencing. I work hard to provide this environment, so my clients feel welcomed and encouraged to engage in therapy.
I know that we know ourselves best and it is my goal to use your expertise about yourself, your family, and your life to help you grow and make purposeful changes. I do expect my clients to work. Unfortunately, I cannot do the work for you and much of what is accomplished in therapy is done outside of the office in your home and community.
