Thank you for taking time to read my profile! Since May of 2003, I have been working in the field of addiction in a variety of settings, spending most of my time in the residential setting. Working in addiction has given me the ability to work with a wide range of patients struggling with a wide range of issues including, trauma, depression, anxiety and self-esteem. I enjoy working from an REBT therapeutic counseling model, which helps clients understand how their irrational thought patterns can affect their emotional state and by challenging those thought patterns, we can begin to take control of our emotions.
I view my role as a guide to help you make the necessary changes you would like to make in your life. The past can very much affect the present and getting locked in unhealthy patterns can affect our mental health, how we see ourselves and the world. Together, we can understand these patterns and learn strategies to help your emotional well-being.
