About
Hello! I’m a licensed social worker with over 17 years of experience in the field. My specialties include working with trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, stress, and compulsive and obsessive behaviors. I use a holistic approach which can incorporate techniques such as mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy. I often find that my clients benefit from my experience working with modern neuroscience, which helps us better understand what’s going on inside our brains as we work towards changing our patterns of thinking and behavior.
My communication style is calm, compassionate, and attentive. Good communication is the absolute cornerstone of the therapy process. I take genuine interest in my clients and help them to feel understood and to better understand themselves. I can help you create goals and milestones so that you can gauge your progress towards improvement.
I want you to feel that the counseling process is successful. Our first session is an opportunity to get to know each other and to discuss your present concerns, goals, and any questions you might have. This is your journey to a better life, and I am here to you along the process. If you think we might be a good fit, please reach out.
