Clients I see struggle with mood regulation, so working on their day-to-day struggles with career, education, life goals, relationships, boredom, feelings of acceptance for themselves may lead into wanting to experience wellness in the form of positive self-esteem, belonging, value and purpose. Some clients feel disconnected from others as well as disconnected from their sense of purpose. I want to meet the client where they are in their growth as an individual. I want the client to feel I am their advocate regardless of their age, ethnicity, spiritual/ cultural background, race or sexual preference or gender identity.
I am trained as a clinical mental health therapist primarily in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and through the course of learning individuals Gestalt therapy has proven to be a more humanistic way of connecting with client and their environment with emphasis on how each person orients themselves as well as handles or controls their surroundings.
