My name is Stephany Romero, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with ten years of experience in mental health. I have assisted individuals in dealing with various subjects, including stress and anxiety, coping skills and stress management, grief and loss, and suicide awareness. I recently received a certification as a Grief and Loss Specialist and continue to work with clients struggling with grief and loss, trauma, and depression. The most common theoretical approaches I use are psychodynamic, problem-solving, narrative, cognitive behavior therapy, and person-centered approaches.
I have worked with different types of clients, typically I assist and support them with stress and anxiety, Grief and loss, depression, trauma, and mood disorders. During our sessions, we create a safe and mindful space for exploring feelings without any judgment. I listen attentively and help process the content being shared.
The client discusses what they would like to work on, and we create small goals to obtain the desired outcome. These small goals/steps will be discussed in sessions, as well as any barriers/obstacles preventing them from reaching the goals.
