I strive to create an empathic, comfortable, and professional environment for my clients. I work with all types of individuals who struggle with many areas of difficulty. Any problem is not too big or too small; whether you are attempting to overcome a long term mental health issue, or are having difficulty adjusting to a life change. I love my work and I enjoy helping others work through life's many challenges. I care about taking a non-judgmental approach in evaluating and treating my clients, and I focus on pulling out personal strengths so that you are better prepared and enabled to find solutions.
It is very important to me as a clinician to maintain up to date therapeutic skills, knowledge of various problems, and current empirically supported treatments. Building therapeutic rapport in the relationship is very important as that has been shown through research to be one of the most important variables in determining the success of treatment.
I have over 20 years of experience in the mental health field and almost 14 years in private practice. I help individuals and couples overcome depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, loss, addiction, adjustment difficulties, relationship issues. I work with children and adolescent behavioral issues, ADHD, Autism, adjustment, loss, and parenting challenges.
