My goal is to create an empathic, comfortable, and professional environment for my clients. I work with individuals who struggle with long term mental health issues such as Major Depression, Generalized Anxiety, PTSD, or are just having difficulty adjusting to a life change or relationship issues. I love my work and enjoy helping others work through life's many challenges. I care about taking a non-judgmental approach in evaluating and treating my clients, and focus on helping you identify your own personal strengths so that you are better prepared and enabled to find solutions.
I value continuously sharpening my therapeutic skills, staying aware of current psychological research, and being knowledgeable of empirically supported treatments. Building therapeutic rapport with the client is very important to me, as research has shown this to be one of the most important variables in determining the success of treatment.
I have over 20 years of experience in the mental health field with over 15 years in private practice. I work with individuals, couples, families, children and adolescents. I have specialized training in child custody work, testify as an expert witness, and am Certified as a Forensic Mental Health Evaluator (CFMHE).
