I've worked with, and enjoy working with, clients of ALL ages. I have practiced in a variety of therapeutic settings, such as inpatient facilities, schools, outpatient community mental health organizations, and private practice. I am comfortable assisting anyone with navigating difficult interpersonal issues, including ones relating to relationships or work/school.
In my work I use Psychoeducation, CBT, Solution-Focus, and Behavior Modification strategies focusing on identifying triggers, obtaining new coping skills, and improving interactions with others. I have experience working with a multitude of issues including: Depression; anxiety; behavior disorders; and trauma.
As a person who has experienced mental health struggles as well, I never ask my clients to do something that I have not tried or would be willing to try; old keys can't open new doors.
