If children came with instruction manuals, parenting would be so much easier; but they don’t, and being a parent is one of the most difficult jobs in today’s busy world. As a parent, I understand how difficult it can be to manage, teach, and help your child overcome adversities to reach his or her potential. When your child struggles, your teen lashes out, or they are crippled with anxiety, you may feel frustrated or overwhelmed… or both. As a professional, my passion is helping parents and their children, tweens, teens and young adults through life’s challenges--to feel competent to handle their lives.
I utilize a biopsychosocial framework for developing assessment/treatment plans—this means I consider medical or genetic factors; psychological, cognitive, and emotional functioning; and educational/family systems and how these affect each individual. I specialize in executive skills, ERP, CBIT, as well as practical cognitive and behavioral strategies.
I'm a specialist... My expertise in school psychology, OCD, chronic health conditions, autism, ADHD, Tourette's and its triad, and combinations of these issues, and experience in a medical system give me a unique understanding of the struggles your child is facing.
