Welcome! I provide body-centered individual psychotherapy. In this kind of therapy, we invite the everyday thinking mind to slow down, and allow the flow of present moment sensations and feelings to guide us. In session, my goal is for you to feel more connected to what is alive, right now, inside and around you. Practicing an intimate connection with self, in a therapeutic space, builds capacity to connect more deeply with others and with our complex world. To this end, we develop tools such as self-reflection, expressive movement, freedom of speech, listening, interoception, dreaming, and meaning-making, to name a few.
You may be feeling stuck. You may be trying to make sense of intergenerational trauma or experiences of culture, class, or identity. You be feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, addiction, depression, difficult relationships, loss, or change. Therapy can be useful to you right now, and it is a working relationship that we build over time together.
