Hi parents! Has your teen been feeling more hopeless, sad, anxious, or upset recently? Have they been more withdrawn or acting different than usual? Has their behavior been negatively impacting their academics and relationships? Are you worried that your teen may not graduate? Would you like to better understand your teen? Would you like to better understand their thoughts and feelings? My goal is to help your teen learn how to identify their feelings, communicate their thoughts and emotions, and discover ways to appropriately manage and deal with their current stressors.
I value having a safe space where your teen feels heard, seen, and free to express themselves. I provide in person sessions and tele-health (online therapy). Online therapy is great for teens who don’t like the feel of an office and prefer to have sessions virtually. At this time, I have slots in the afternoon for clients who want to use their insurance.
If any of the above concerns have crossed your mind, welcome! You are not alone. Life changes, the current pandemic, recent or past crisis, academics, and problems with peers can cause our teenagers to feel lost, overwhelmed, and sad.
