I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Board Certified Counselor with 20 years of experience. My expertise is with teens (ages 11 and up) young adults (up to age 28) parents, caregivers and families. For the past 2 decades I have worked as a therapist at a non-profit, community based organization. Here, I specialize in youth that are impacted by relationship violence. This experience accompanied by the 15 years I, concurrently, owned and operated a group home for adolescent females in the foster care system, also makes me also uniquely qualified to assist in navigating the challenges of youth in the custody of DHS.
I am passionate about working with teens, young adults and families. I also work with people who are experiencing depression, anxiety and trauma. I incorporate a variety of treatment modalities including, DBT, ACT, Solution Focused and Personal Narratives. I use an individualized approach, working at the clients pace to support their growth and change.
