I specialize in treating adults who have been diagnosed with eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, and binge-eating), anxiety, depression, and substance-use disorders. I also have a wide range of experience with active-duty Service Members and Veterans, particularly trauma survivors struggling with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), sexual assault, and moral injury.
I have treated people with a variety of traumatic and stressful experiences, and am certified in Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), both of which are evidence-based treatments for PTSD. I also employ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions.
I believe that by focusing on trauma at the root of unhealthy coping, and improving coping skills, many problems can be reduced or eliminated for a better quality of life, however each individual defines that.
