A licensed clinical social worker who obtained her Master’s degree from the Rutgers School of Social Work with over 25 years of experience in the fields of medical, psychiatric, and geriatric social work. Her scope of practice includes helping individuals who are suffering from mood and anxiety disorders, post traumatic stress, traumatic accidents, chronic medical conditions, dual diagnosis/addiction, and chronic psychiatric illness, as well as provides couples counseling and mediates marital discord using both a cognitive-behavioral and a family-centered approach.
She is often sought out for her expertise in working with police, EMT, firefighters, correctional officers and medical professionals, as well as works as a mediator for family conflict and assists families to navigate the system of nursing home placement.
Ms. Palmer holds a Social Work Supervisor’s certificate so she may assist social workers to become clinicians.
