About

When we seek therapy, we often feel lost or out of control. Many times we have an intuition of what we need to do, but we feel stuck and overwhelmed. As your therapist, my primary aim is for you to feel a genuine, caring connection. It is a huge step to engage with someone to address the parts of yourself or events that you don't feel good about, are shameful about, or may not even want to think about at all. I work to build a relationship and a space where you it feels safe to be REAL.

I work from the mindset that our brain is capable of healing; just as our body is able heal from a cut, or a broken bone. I'm trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) which is an effective, evidence-based therapy that works with your brain to help target what may be keeping you "stuck" from physical and emotional well-being.

Your brain and body are wonderfully powerful. You are designed to survive and adapt. Whether you are struggling with a recent event or a long-term past of adverse events, I have full confidence in you and feel honored for the opportunity to accompany individuals along their unique path of healing and hope.
