Often times, we have difficulty healing from our painful pasts which can manifest into our present and our future. I strive to empower clients by helping them rewrite their stories to strip the shame and create meaningful, insightful, and lasting change. As therapist Claudia Naranjo said, "accept being as you are." If you find yourself struggling to accept pieces of yourself or your past, that’s where therapy can come in. My hope is that we can work together to process the past, so that you can have a more peaceful present and a renewed hope for the future.
I am very collaborative in my approach while also tailoring it so that each client is individually honored. I primarily utilize DBT, Multicultural, ACT, Feminist, and CBT lenses, with an overarching Trauma-informed lens. My areas of specialty are woman and men of color, adult children of narcissists, self-exploration/esteem, trauma, and codependency issues.
I understand how challenging beginning this journey can be, and I also understand the power and bravery you must hold to even begin.
