About
Encouraging healthy relationships with God, self and others, I help clients elicit strength-based responses to challenges. "Strength-based" shifts the focus away from deficits towards assets, and it assumes people and relationships have the capacity to cope, grow, and change. I enjoy helping: couples who desire empathic, respectful, and loving interactions; clients who desire growth in the aftermath of significant life challenges; individuals toward personal growth; groups and families. Collaborative and integrative, I work from systemic, positive psychological, multicultural, relational, faith-based, and compassionate frameworks.
Specializations: Couples (Level 2 trained in Gottman Method), Individual & Family Therapy, Relationship Issues, Groups, Life Transitions, Communication, Women's Issues, Diversity Issues, Trauma, Grief/Loss, Coping Skills, Faith Issues, Bibliotherapy, Couple’s workshops/retreats (7 Principles for Making Marriage Work, Gottman Leader); On-line sessions only.
