Restoring Trauma: Skills Group
In this three week workshop, you will gain education on some of the basic principles of trauma and learn how to apply practical skills that can be used in your personal and/ or professional life. These skills will serve to teach you how to control your heart rate, help you increase your overall window of tolerance, enhance your ability for interpersonal connection, and to overcome negative thinking patterns! You will also learn how to develop a greater self-awareness of your own physical, emotional, and mental state which is an essential part of the healing process. I offer full-day intensive counseling services that provide quality education on stress and trauma, effective skills that support healing, and the ability to process through an issue or two of your choice. This comprehensive way of trauma treatment equips participants with knowledge, practical coping tools that can be used in daily life, and gives time to more deeply explore and heal from a stressful or traumatic experience. This can be done individually and with another participant.
