What would your life look like if you were living in alignment with what really matters to you? As your therapist, I want to know what you envision life to be like when you're successfully done with therapy. Then we can set therapy goals that connect to what you DO want, not just what you don't want. Maybe you aren't sure what really matters to you, or what living in alignment looks like, maybe your goal is to discover that about yourself. Maybe you do know, but you struggle with anxiety, or depression, feeling stuck, or self doubt and it feels like that vision is out of reach for you. I'm here to help you see that it's not.
I use a variety of approaches that all focus on looking at the individual as a whole, rather than a medical diagnosis to be fixed. I primarily use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which focuses on finding balance between acceptance and change. The main goal is to identify your values and increase flexibility with thoughts, feelings, and actions
I show up to sessions with empathy, passion, and skills that help you to really make changes. I know being vulnerable with a stranger, even a therapist, is scary. I promise to sit with you as we build the trust and comfort that you need to allow me to join you on your therapy journey. I work with adolescents and adults and am an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist.
