Your brain is the command center for your emotions and your thoughts dictate your reality; this is why my approach focuses on positive psychology and the impactful use of gratitude and positive thinking habits. Due to neuroplascity, unwanted behavior and conditioned responses can be changed by retraining the brain through corrective thinking techniques, sensory input changes through somatic practice and the calming effects of mindfully being in the present moment, just to name a few.
This, in addition to maintaining positive health through the holistic health approach, restores mental and physical energy levels to then increase areas of functioning. So much healing occurs through the mind body connection and the active use of applying coping skills as you need them.
In my practice, we will investigate what works best for you to develop and incorporate a therapeutic plan to improve mental health and increase executive functioning.
