Hello! My name is Stephanie Edwards. I’m a licensed professional clinical counselor with supervision designation. I have more than 10 years of experience in the mental health field. I earned my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Akron. I specialize in complex trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), diversity issues, depression, anxiety, and issues stemming from abuse. I’m trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and am a Level 1 Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP).
During my career as a mental health professional, I’ve gained experience in a variety of settings.
These include intensive home-based treatment, residential facilities, schools, outpatient offices, a hospital emergency department , and my local crisis/suicide hotline. I was previously a supervisor for a chemical dependency program in which I supervised interns, counselors, and case managers.
