During counseling sessions, I will help you explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe and supportive environment, assisting you in finding insight and awareness needed to move forward, instead of feeling stuck or helpless.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of issues, have advanced training in exposure and response prevention for OCD, and am in the process of certification for perinatal mental health. Using a warm, humorous, nonjudgmental, and authentic style, we'll work together to figure out how you can become your best self.
Every client is different, so I take the time to get to know who you really are, listen to you, and understand your concerns. I offer flexible appointment times, including evenings. New teachers in high-needs schools need access to mental health clinicians that understand the unique stressors of working in an urban education setting; The Resilient Teacher accomplishes this by providing teachers access to high quality, short term mental health and support services that understand the unique needs, schedules, and stressors of having the hardest (and best) job in the world. The program provides teachers with specialized interventions that include short-term individual and group counseling purposefully designed to accommodate a teacher's busy schedule and address specific stressors that arise from working in a school.
