Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in PA and WV, National Certified Counselor, and a Certified School Counselor for children in grades K-12. I provide teletherapy at Children In Balance for children and their families/support systems. I believe strongly that all children are worthy of love and respect and that they all have the ability to be successful and happy! I understand the importance of working with the "whole child" across all environments - including both home and school. I believe that in order for positive change to happen, we need to work together as a team to support your child in all aspects of life.
I vow to work closely with parents, family members, and school staff to create a therapeutic plan that we all feel comfortable with - including your child! Through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I will help your child to learn how to replace their negative thought patterns with more positive ones which in turn, will change their behaviors.
I understand that counseling can seem "scary" for children/adolescents at first, but I pride myself on making my sessions fun and relaxed! This provides children with a safe space where they can feel comfortable & just be themselves. As your child progresses through therapy, I hope to become a person that they trust and look forward to spending time with.
