I have over 20 years of experience working with individuals, couples, adolescents and families. I specialize in working with issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss. I help individuals with addictions issues, parenting, and have a special interest in pain management and pregnancy/postpartum counseling. I have special training in mindfulness techniques, addiction and mind/body connection as well as cross-cultural issues. My approach to therapy is supportive, educational, challenging and collaborative.

I have found that when we can begin to become aware of unconscious, habit-driven behaviors, we can learn to make conscious shifts and get more of what we want in life, thus moving toward greater peace and happiness.

I believe that change occurs through relationship and that having a nurturing environment with which to look at difficult issues is the key to growth. I believe that finding the right therapist is very important to the process.

Caregivers Support Group

For caregivers of loved ones. Caregiving is a special role. When we are caregiving for others we often are not taking the time to care for ourselves. Just as, “you must put your oxygen mask on first before helping others” – if we are not taking time to care for ourselves we can not be there for others. This group is a place for caregivers to receive the support that is so important to them and their loved ones.
