I am Stephanie B. Dean, MA, LPC, a psychotherapist with experience and training in women's issues, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, attention-deficit disorders, family-of-origin issues, self-esteem, and more. I hold a Master of Arts Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and am the founder of Greater Bogalusa Community Center, a nonprofit human services organization in Bogalusa, LA. I have developed special skills in working with clients to uncover core issues and get to the "root of the problem," particularly in cases where feelings of extreme guilt or shame are involved.

I strive to develop a warm and caring relationship with you while collaborating to help you reach your counseling goals. I approach therapy from a strengths-based, goal-focused perspective, prioritizing the client-counselor relationship. I listen with genuine empathy and understand many of the issues you may face from personal experience.

I work with couples to help redefine their relationship in meaningful ways, such as increasing mutual goodwill, improving intimacy, developing effective communication skills, and building a more fulfilling life together through thoughtful planning. I am a motivational life coach and an effective facilitator of psychoeducational sessions.
