I value being a person that is a hope-giver, helping people feel less alone in their struggles and equipping those same people with the knowledge and tools they need to keep moving forward with strength and confidence. I have clinical experience working with those dealing with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, trauma (including sexual assault and abuse), grief/loss, life transitions, relationship navigation, LGBTQIA+ related matters, academic difficulties, and stress and anger management.
As a Family Crisis Social Worker, I provided home-based family interventions, life skills education, and community resource connection. My experiences working with home-based family systems has provided me with specific insight into how mental health issues impact more than just the individual.
I work from a CBT framework, though I utilize wide-ranging techniques based on individual-client need. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a form of therapy that helps people heal from trauma or other distressing life experiences. I am also certified as a Prepare/Enrich Facilitator for couples and premarital counseling.
