My job as a counselor is not to "fix" people or give advice, but to help people learn to "fix" the things in their life that are not working through education, cognitive behavioral therapy, behavior modification, and other therapy modalities. When something in our life is not working well, we need to make changes to become happier and more content.
I enjoy working with many ages, including children, adolescents, and adults. I enjoy helping people deal with trauma and frequently use EMDR to help people reprocess troubling memories. I also enjoy working with cognitive behavioral therapy to help people stop negative thoughts and replace them with positive thoughts.
