I work with adults, adolescents, couples, and families providing care for clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, marriage/family conflict (including domestic violence), addiction, post-partum issues, and pre-marital counseling. I have also worked with parents whose children had been placed in the foster care system. Client goals included working through their own past trauma/abuse, addiction issues, as well as protective parenting techniques
I have extensive experience with cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and also utilize Christian faith based counseling with those clients who prefer using biblical principles when implementing goals and strategies to overcome life’s obstacles and make positive changes in behavior.
I believe in the idea that no one is perfect or has it “all figured out” and I offer a judgment free counseling room as I believes we are also more than the sum of our past mistakes. I hope to help others heal from trauma and grow from mistakes we have all made.
