I like to work with individuals and couples willing to be curious about what ails them. I really like therapy to feel authentic and fresh. I embrace radical acceptance and find laughter can be healing. Many of my clients come to me overwhelmed or numb, stuck in patterns of worry, rumination, people-pleasing, self-criticism, avoidance, or self-sabotaging behavior. We gain clarity and freedom by understanding how we manage emotion, often through unconscious strategies that can be protective, but are also limiting. Much of my practice focuses on trauma-related problems, personality disorders, mood, anxiety, psychosis, and addiction.
As Clinical Director of a trauma-focused crisis stabilization program for women in Marin, I often meet people in the most chaotic, uncertain, or stuck moments of their lives. Those moments call for real presence and clarity. In my private practice, I bring that same attunement into deeper, often longer-term, work. My manner is direct, but not pushy.
I draw from different therapeutic models depending on what’s most useful. Some people may benefit from more structure, whereas others thrive with a more relational approach. I'm flexible and prefer strong collaboration with my clients in navigating our course.

With both individual and couples, I often support navigating complex (interpersonal, relational) trauma and personality disorders. We identify patterns shaped by the past and how they show up now. I draw from this rich therapeutic tradition and integrate practical cognitive-behavioral skills work. Our sessions together will be grounded in a genuine connection that respects your unique experience.

I think psychodynamically, paying attention to defenses and patterns shaped by early experience. For skills-building work, I draw from cognitive-behavioral therapies (CBT/CPT, ACT, DBT), parts work, and mindful self-compassion. In couples work, my approach is most closely aligned with Relational Life Therapy.
