I enjoy helping my clients empower themselves to live the lives they wish to live, develop self-compassion, & embrace peace, through "talk therapy" and brainspotting. I believe many stressful behaviors (e.g., isolation, eating disorders) begin as a way to cope, when we feel we have little control. Even if certain behaviors are now causing you distress, it is amazing that you empowered yourself to manage times in your life when you didn't know how else manage. Now, we can figure out new strategies that not only allow you to survive, but to thrive, in a way that allows you to feel peaceful & free.
Part of this process may be developing self-compassion for yourself, your behaviors, & your experiences. Together, we can empower you through your struggles. I want to help you acknowledge & use your strengths, find related support systems, & embrace your resilience as a coping tool. I hope to create a space for you to be your true, authentic self.
I provide therapy for a variety of issues, with specializations in eating disorders & self-esteem, as well as gender & sexual identities, & LGBTQ+ related concerns. I also provide evaluations for letters for gender-affirming medical/legal procedures. I offer a free phone consultation, so please don't hesitate to email to see if we would make a good team!
