Stefanie is a licensed professional counselor, whose goal is to assist those who may be struggling with any kind of trauma or stress, through the power of play and connection. Stefanie utilizes the power of play, the expressive arts, and relationship throughout her therapy. She understands the wide impact that mental health has on the individual and the people that love them. She views all traumas, from the "Big T"s to the "Little T"s, as equally valid and important, and with this understanding, Stefanie provides all her services under the trauma-focused lens of person-centered, and solution oriented.
Play is the natural and first language of children. Providing individuals a safe environment that is filled with things of childhood, like toys and expressive arts, decreases their anxieties and resistances, and increases their openness to learning new skills. Stefanie also offered therapy that focuses on increasing parent and child interactions.
Stefanie works with all ages of people, from children, ages 3+ to adults. Her work at the local CAC has allowed her to gain experience in multiple trauma-focused assessment and therapy modalities for youth and adults, including CPT, PC-Care, TFCBT, CFTSI, and TraumaPlay.
