"All behavior is communication" and my goal is to help parents, kids, and teens understand the emotions behind their actions. Emotions may be expressed through lack of motivation, aggressive actions, refusal to participate in activities, use of drugs or alcohol, self-harm or having negative beliefs about themselves. I can work with you and your family to learn healthy communication and coping skills to deal with today's world.
I was a teacher, a school-based mental health counselor, and a parent and each of these roles has given me a well-rounded approach to working with clients. Whether the struggles are at home, school, or work, I can help you to build emotional regulation skills. Together, we'll work to overcome anxiety, depression, anger. or other mental health issues.
My clients and colleagues tell me I am approachable and easy to talk to. My office is an uplifting environment that promotes resiliency in my clients. Through play and talk therapy methods, we explore the causes of emotions and strategies to manage them better in the future.
