Overall, I would say that I am just a human who enjoys helping other humans no matter who they are or what problems they are navigating in life. Some of the most prevalent diagnoses/concerns I have worked with include depression, anxiety, & PTSD, though I do have some experience with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, and religious trauma. I am passionate about working with female-identifying individuals, people who have experienced trauma, and all members of the LGBTQIA2+ community, and I am currently prioritizing these individuals for intakes.
The relationship between me & my clients is the most important part of the therapy process, & I use this relationship to facilitate growth. Sessions with me are rooted in person-centered, Humanistic theory, but I also incorporate concepts from CBT, DBT, and IFS. I also offer Brainspotting and a more "bottom up" approach when talk therapy isn't quite enough.
I am funny (to some people) & like to bring humor into sessions whenever possible. I am warm, compassionate, & validating but can also be a bit snarky and sarcastic. I tend to approach each client with curiosity & unconditional positive regard. I want you to feel safe to be your whole weird and wonderful self with me. I look forward to hearing from you!
