I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and has been practicing in the mental health field for over 10 years. My primary focus has been on helping youth negotiate the, often difficult tasks of growing up. In particular, I am interested in foster care and adoptive homes and how to improve overall communication, build more adaptive structures, and develop appropriate expectations.
I utilizes several, evidenced based, treatment models such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused CBT, and attachment treatment. I also have experience working with preschool aged children providing behavioral management techniques, social skills training, and parenting education.
I use a client centered approach where I collaborate with the client, the family, and the community in developing treatment goals. I provide the added benefit of engaging in an In-Home based therapy. I come to you to help make the process easier and more comfortable.
