I was born in the rural parts of Charleston, SC before moving to Beaufort, SC for my teenage years. I went on to be a student-athlete for Coastal Carolina University, earning my Bachelor of Arts in Communications. Go Chants!
While attending CCU I volunteered at Pee Dee Elementary and Habitat for Humanity for 2 years. After graduating I began working for Seacoast Youth Academy, a level III group home for 3 years then 5 years in Special Education for Horry County Schools. In 2023, I earned my Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Go Flames!
My approach to counseling is to understand the client first, then work with them to increase their awareness, freedom, and self-direction. I want to help build on clients strengths to empower their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Most importantly, I want to be there for you and build a healthy counselor to client relationship.
