About
For each of us there is a time in which small moments of insight help us realize we don’t have to go it alone. Those moments are opportunities to act courageously and we have to act quickly before the courage fades and fear kicks in. Independent of the specific struggles we face, a core factor in building resilience is the ability to reach out for support. We ALL need a scaffolding of support. As I've worked nearly the entire spectrum of care, including wilderness therapy, residential programs, an inpatient psychiatric unit, and outpatient private practice, I have come to greatly respect the courage it takes to reach out.
I specialize in treating trauma, have been studying trauma for over 15 years, and have been trained in EMDR for over 10 years. I also do research on the nueroplasticity of the brain and in the role that bilateral movement (left/right rhthymic movement) plays in activating the right/left sides of the brain to enhance physical and emotional health.
Over the past 13 years, I have worked with couples, families, and individuals from nearly every walk of life and with nearly every presenting concern imaginable. I am committed to helping you find innovative, real-time solutions and helping your brain grow resilience. Working with clients is an honor, and I respect the courage it take to face challenges.
